About Mrs. B's Tea Parlor

Mrs. B’s Tea Parlor is a dream come true! What more can I say; I have always known God could give you the desires of your heart! Until now, I didn't understand that his perfection would by far surpass my desires, even to the last detail.

Mrs. B’s Tea Parlor is fondly named for my best friend, my mentor, my mother, Berniece Bland, known to many as “Mrs. B”. She went home to be with her Lord and Savior in February 2007.

My mother was an amazing woman. She was humble in everything she did and performed many acts of service. She was a fabulous cook and as I like to say the “Hostess with the Mostest”. She had a passion for God which lead her to serve with women’s ministries of all kinds.

As a little girl and even into my adult years; we dreamed of owning a restaurant together. Spaghetti and pink lemonade was my childhood menu- thankfully that has changed! (Tea parties are the happenin’!!!!)

Although, I have been catering on the side, I have been a stay at home mom for 24 years with 5 kids, a son in law and all of their friends who call me “Mom” which I count as a tremendous honor. Cooking at home sometimes was nothing short of a restaurant in itself.

I have always loved entertaining; starting as a little girl helping my mother and even more now. My kids, I’m sure have thought I was close to crazy sometimes. Having parties for any and every occasion- First Day of Fall, First Soccer Goal- You name it!

But I must admit it was the many cherished Tea parties as a little girl with my mother that has brought me here. She always made everything “just about perfect”. I was so blessed to be by her side helping her (as I thought), learning (as I’ve learned). Making her guests feel welcome and at home was her main goal and she managed to achieve it each time!  I hope you feel welcome and at home at Mrs. B's. I hope you find everything “just about perfect!”

To my mother, what can I say… Thank you for blessing me with one of life’s greatest gifts- A mother who loved the Lord, a mother who loved me and instilled in me the joy of serving others. Last but not least, a mother who was my very best friend. I miss you and I wish you could see Mrs. B’s.  I'm very overwhelmed with gratitude and I pray I will honor you with my words and deeds, but most of all, bless others as much as you blessed me.

I love you Mom, I look forward to once again sharing a cup of tea with you!
